Friends, this is Infinix HOT 11S, on paper, this looks like a great value-for-money device and we’ll open it & let you know how it is in comparison with the on-paper specifications.
Unboxing of infinix hot 11s
It’s a green box & there’s a phone upfront, It’s based on Helio G88 SoC & has a 90Hz fast refresh rate, I’ll tell you all about it.
There’s an 18W charger, a USB Type C cable and it’s their X Club invitation along with a sim card tool.
There’s a case but it’s not a hard case like they usually offer this is a soft TPU case & is of decent quality and, there’s a scratch guard as well, and there’s some documentation.
Design and weight
It’s a big & tall phone, It’s an interesting design with a plastic back.
And the fingerprint sensor is on back, Its position is alright compared to the phone’s size.
It’s weight an even 200g! I thought it’d be a little heavier because of the big screen but 200g is ok for a big phone.
Ports & Buttons
Below, there’s a speaker grill, USB Type C port, a microphone & a 3.5mm jack.
On the left, there’s a sim card tray and I don’t see a noise-cancelling microphone above.
On the right, there’s a volume rocker & power on/off button.
The sim card tray has a dedicated sim card slot so that’s a good point!
This is the 2nd phone in India to be launched with Helio G88 SoC, 1st phone was Redmi 10 Prime.
It’s a very capable & new SoC There’s only 1 variant in this, the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and It has a 5000mAh battery with 18W charging.
The RAM type is LPDDR4X & the storage type is eMMC 5.1.
Friends, it has a big 6.78” FHD+ display with a 90Hz fast refresh rate the brightness goes up to 500 Nits, So it gets sufficiently bright But there can be problems under bright sunlight.
It has NEG Dinorex protection just like Gorilla Glass. So there is protection and it has a 90.5% screen-to-body ratio. The side & upper bezels are smaller than average the chin is average-sized.
As I said, the G88 is a capable processor because generally, it scored around 2L and this is the 4GB RAM variant which scores around 1.75L-1.80L on AnTuTu.
We played games for a long time on the big screen, it’s fun but the performance was average.
The BGMI performance on HD-High settings was a little problem at all so gaming performance is decent.
The 90Hz refresh rate makes a difference but it also has a 180Hz touch sampling rate so the responsiveness feels good when you swipe/touch. You can feel the fast touch sampling rate.
It comes on XOS 7.6 which is based on Android 11 with August’s Security Patch and you get pre-installed apps like on all Infinix phones which you can uninstall.
There are many features there’s a Game Mode called “Dar-Link” and there’s XClone & XHide if you want to clone/hide something.
And friends, there’s also a 360-degree flash feature where you get 2 LEDs on the front & 4 LEDs on the back so there’s a 360 degree light that you can turn on.
A lot of recent Infinix phones have this & you get all of those features in the Infinix HOT 11S.
There’s a 50MP primary sensor which is good. I really liked that! But the secondary & tertiary sensors are of 2 MPs each & are ok.
They’re depth & AI sensors so it’s out of the question to talk about them they’re quite good, the colours & the dynamic range are good. It has the latest generation sensor so the photos are quite average.
And specifically, the aperture is f/1.6 which generally is f/1.8 in this range which helps in clicking decent photos in low light.
The selfie camera on the front is 8MP as I mentioned, you get an LED flashlight on the front as well for dark environments and there’s an interesting feature in the camera, you can shoot 2K videos from both front(8MP) & rear cameras.
It’s a big IPS LCD screen with an FHD+ display & has a good screen-to-body ratio so the viewing angles are ok and it has stereo speakers, so that’s a big plus Generally, you don’t get stereo speakers in the Rs 10-11K price range. (The speakers are good).
So overall, you’ll like the multimedia experience on the Infinix HOT 11S But there’s 1 thing, it has Widevine L3 certification, which should’ve been L1 as it’s an FHD+ screen.
You get all sensors in this, there’s a physical fingerprint sensor at the back & face unlock which works quite well.
There’s dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi calling support, Bluetooth 5.0 & dual-band WiFi.
This is what the Infinix HOT 11S is all about the biggest highlight is its price.
The other brand phones with similar specifications, launched with G88 SoC are priced at Rs 12-12.5K but This one costs Rs 11K!
So that’s why I called it value-for-money at the beginning.
The Helio G88 SoC is a capable processor and you can do more than 90-95% of the tasks on the phone with ease,
And you shouldn’t have any problems including heavy gaming!
The 3rd thing I’d say is the multimedia on the big FHD+ screen with 90Hz refresh rate & 180Hz touch sampling rate & stereo speakers.
So that’s it for today in this blog hope you liked it thanks for reading bye.
