Realme UI 3.0 Overview, features, and devices | It’s ColorOS 12 With many bloatware

Friends, realme UI 3.0 is here but I want to show you the one thing,

This is “Settings” & if you go to “About Phone” here, so if you go to “Version” then look at this.

realme UI 3.0 is ColorOS v12! There is no difference and they haven’t hid it, it’s literally written here that it’s ColorOS.

Everything is ColorOS 12.

But, if you want a look at other features then checkout our ColorOS 12 article, you’ll know about realme UI 3.0.

But before going to realme UI 3.0 features, I want to tell you a thing.

This is realme’s rollout plan. It’s an “Early Access Plan” meaning, the realme GT got early access and It’s a 4.63GB update that we’ve installed on the realme GT & the UI is very good!

But it’s ColorOS for early access rollout and it’ll come on the realme GT on 21st October means it’s already out & in December/January, the stable update will rollout.

Realme ui 3.0 release date

Meaning, after 2-3 months of early access, you’ll get the stable update.

So if you’ve bought realme GT & if you’re adventurous, then you can do the early access update full of bugs (lol).

All other early access will come in December 2021 for realme GT Master Edition, realme GT Neo2 5G, realme X7 Max & realme 8 Pro it means, around February-March, you’ll get the stable roll out next year!

In Q1 2022, there will be many phones like realme X7 Pro, X50 Pro, 8, 8i, 7 Pro, etc so in May-June, around 80% of realme phones will get the stable update in June-July, and by that time Android 13 might come out!

This timeline & other rollouts in Q2 have many phones like Narzo 30, realme X7, X3, 8s(launched recently), has its early access next year around May-June(Q2 2022) so the stable update will probably go in Q3.

So I think these timelines aren’t good, they should’ve been sooner.

I’ve been talking about realme since before that they do push updates but now if the delay is this much!

And now Android is moving so ahead that even other phones are getting Android 12 so realme needs to give faster updates.

Realme UI 3.0

Now, let’s talk about realme UI 3.0.

Like I said I’m going to talk about the differences but before that.

Look at this bloatware, this is the realme GT flagship phone & look at this, there is so much bloatware I mean a large amount of bloatware, there’s Moj, Flipkart, Dailyhunt, Snapchat, Netflix, etc.

There might be at least 12-15 apps that are pre-installed. Yes, the realme phones are cheap but don’t overdo it.

There’s a lot of bloatware so you’ll have to keep in mind that you’ll get bloatware in realme UI.

These were the negative things but now for positives, I like ColorOS, they’ve really improved.

You now get a Clean UI Experience, If you look at the notifications panel, the white space has increased, the icons look better & it’s exactly like ColorOS so I won’t talk about it much because I’ve already done the previous article & I don’t want to repeat it.

There’re 2-3 differences like if you go to “About Phone” then you get realme UI instead of ColorOS, so there are some differences there.

If you look at Icons, then the weightage of icons looks 3D due to the shadows, so that’s a slight difference and now realme has its own wallpapers so that’s not in ColorOS but realme UI has its own wallpapers.

Always On Display has realme Meow’s options.

Apart from that, I didn’t notice much difference and there are some apps like PC Connect because realme laptops are out too so the PC Connect app is here.

And you don’t get that in ColorOS so some extra apps are there & lots of bloatware.

Realme ui 3.0 features

2-3 features are there that I’d like to mention.

You can make a Floating Window like Picture-in-Picture so if you’re doing some work & you can open another app window.

So that’s a good thing for multitasking if you want to watch & read together, you can do that and there’s another feature – Private Picture Share.

Where if you want to use photos to upload on Facebook/Twitter etc & it strips the metadata as geo-location gets stripped, & uploads a clean private photo so your details that you don’t want to share can be clearly uploaded privately.

There’s another feature where if your battery comes below 15%, it automatically sends a message to 5 emergency contacts, so that’s a good security feature!

That’s what realme UI 3.0 is for you!
